Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. She gained the attention of the world in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding rapidly rose to the top of the charts due to her infectious electronic pop sound. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands at the forefront as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music as well as independent arty pop. Her soprano voice and ability to write emotionally authentic songs make her distinct.
